Our 2021 Senior Art student cohort had the opportunity to chat to Abdul Abdullah
Coomera Anglican College 2021 Artists in Residency program invited Archibald Prize finalist Abdul Abdullah to talk to their Senior Art student cohort about multiculturalism, projection of identity and minority groups within Australia.
Abdul Abdullah is an Australian multi-disciplinary artist. Abdullah’s projects have engaged with different marginalized minority groups, which he communicates within his Art.
Abdullah addressed the new QLD curriculum Visual Art concepts that resonate with his own artwork and demonstrate to the students his innovative photography and painting skills.
Head of Art, Liz Hampson said she was elated that Abdullah agreed to spend time with local Gold Coast art students and had rearranged his busy program with GAGOMA, attending his Open Studio experience to be at the College.
