On Saturday 8 October 2022 Coomera Anglican College’s Rock Band – Silent Freeway, was named the winners of the Saturday Night event of the 2022 Battle of the Rock Bands.
Battle of the Rock Bands was a three-day event held from the 6th to the 8th of October 2022. Some 30 rock bands from various secondary schools battled it out onstage. Each school presented four songs with the winners of each evening then competing for the final prize.
Under the direction of Guitar and Band Tutor Ben Hoult, Coomera Anglican College’s Silent Freeway band performed on Saturday night at Clairvaux MacKillop College in Upper Mount Gravatt
Our band was so pumped after getting off-stage on the night; in their words,
“That was our best performance EVER!”.
Year 11 musician Brodie Graham, was awarded Best Keyboardist for the evening.

Silent Freeway were the winners of the Saturday night event, pulling off a major coup with a fantastic presentation of Bohemian Rhapsody in their set.
Not only that, Year 11 musician Brodie Graham, was awarded Best Keyboardist for the evening.
They will now perform with the other two winning schools, at one of Brisbane’s top performance venues, The Triffid, on Wednesday 14 December.
