Coomera Anglican College Innovation on display at National Integrate Exhibition.
The concept behind Coomera Anglican College’s innovative Imaginarium is on display at Integrate Exhibition in Melbourne this week as part of Epson’s global trade site.
Integrate Exhibition is Australia’s premier annual AV and Integration trade show. Held across three days it is a hub of activity for local and global brands to showcase solutions and products, and celebrate the latest industry developments.
Epson Australia is displaying the latest in projection technology and solutions, demonstrating this through a 270 degree immersive video environment, as showcased on the Today Show on Tuesday 27 August 2019. This concept is similar to Coomera Anglican College’s Imaginarium located within the Pod on site at the College.
The idea emerged in 2015 and construction was completed in late January 2018 to have a future-focused centre featuring the latest in immersive and interactive technology with the aim to take learning out of the traditional classroom. The Imaginarium was the result of challenging what Virtual Reality (VR) meant in a primary education context. This technology and learning environment has been embedded into the curriculum at Coomera Anglican College for the past two years.
The Imaginarium is a climate controlled 360 degree immersive learning space which features six Epson laser projectors and cinema quality surround sound creating a seamless 360 degree sensory experience without the need for wearable technology.
The Imaginarium is part of the innovation strategy of Coomera Anglican College to ensure it is future focused in teaching, learning and developing students who are the leaders of the future.
