Official Commissioning of New Principal, Mr Patrick Innes-Hill

24 February 2023

In the presence of God and the entire College community, Mr Patrick Innes-Hill vowed to commit himself to the trust and responsibility of leading the College, ensuring that the students, staff, and College Council flourished under his leadership.

He pledged to accept the significant responsibilities that come with the position of Principal of Coomera Anglican College and promised to seek God’s guidance and strength in fulfilling them.

With deep conviction, he promised to devote his time and energy to those placed in his care and to all members of the Coomera Anglican College Community, building, strengthening, and celebrating the spiritual, academic, and extra-curricular life of the College.

It was a touching moment, as Mr Innes-Hill was presented with Symbols of Ministry from College students.

The Early Learning Centre presented a candle to reflect the light of Christ in the lives of members of the College community.

The Junior Secondary Captains presented a College banner as a symbol of the community within which people learn and grow.

The College Captains presented a Cross as a symbol of salvation and God’s grace shown to humanity.

Finally, the SRC Chairperson and Faith Prefects presented a Bible, the Word of God, symbolising the College's spiritual foundation.

As the ceremony unfolded, the air was filled with sounds of the Coomera Anglican College String Orchestra, playing a powerful string performance for the processional and the voices of Bella Voce, rang out in melodic harmony for all guests.

Today is a significant day for Coomera Anglican College, marking a new chapter in our College’s history. With Mr Patrick Innes-Hill at the helm, our College is poised to achieve even greater heights, continuing on the journey started by the Foundation Principal, Dr Mark Sly.
