Porch Light – A Growing Community for CAC Alumni
Porch Light is an evolving and heartfelt initiative designed by the Faith and Spirituality Team to provide a space for Coomera Anglican College alumni to stay connected, build community, and deepen their sense of faith and belonging beyond graduation.
Currently meeting every Friday evening, Porch Light alternates between two engaging formats:
- A sunset reflection and gathering on the oval, followed by dinner at a local café or restaurant
- A sunset reflection and relaxed campfire catch-up outside St Matthew’s
At its heart, Porch Light offers a space for alumni to reconnect with the values and community spirit they experienced during their time at CAC. It encourages:
- A deepened sense of belonging and village life
- A meaningful engagement with faith and spirituality, in a way that feels familiar and authentic to past students
The group is currently made up of 15–20 young alumni from the 2021 to 2024 cohorts, making it a perfect fit for those in the young adult life stage. However, Porch Light is open to all past students, and continues to evolve through conversation, participation, and shared vision.
Whether you're seeking connection, reflection, or simply a relaxed space to share stories and firelight, Porch Light welcomes you.
If you'd like to learn more or get involved, reach out – we'd love to hear from you!
