Shaping Tomorrow: College Master Plan
In 2024, Coomera Anglican College steps into a new era of innovation and modernisation with Stage 2 of its Master Plan. The cornerstone of this phase - the much-anticipated new Secondary Building.
Initiated on April 11, 2023, Stage 2 embodies the College’s commitment to nurturing the minds of tomorrow through state-of-the-art infrastructure and forward-thinking educational paradigms. Among the significant highlights are the establishment of a cutting-edge Secondary Centre, the relocation of Secondary Art, the introduction of new hardcourts, and the redevelopment of Outside School Hours Care.
At the heart of Stage 2 lies the new Secondary building. Anticipated to be a four-story structure, the Centre represents a hub of creativity, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement. It encapsulates the College’s vision to imbue students with 21st-century skills and a global perspective, equipping them to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
Within its walls, students will encounter a dynamic array of facilities and resources tailored to foster innovation. From incubator spaces nurturing budding entrepreneurs to state-of-the-art studios for the arts and multimedia production, the Centre promises a holistic approach to learning. With a central focus on disciplines such as History, Chinese, Creative Industries, ICT, Design, and Film & Television, students are primed to explore their passions and chart their academic journeys with versatility.
Moreover, the new Secondary building will serve as a social nexus, boasting a vibrant canteen and café where ideas are exchanged over cups of coffee, and a 400-seat amphitheater space for collaborative endeavours and community gatherings. With adaptable learning spaces catering to diverse pedagogical needs, the Centre epitomises a flexible and student-centric approach to education.
“With each milestone achieved, Coomera Anglican College reaffirms its position as a beacon of excellence in education, poised to shape the minds and hearts of generations to come.”"
The realisation of Stage 2, including the new secondary building, has been made possible through strategic collaborations and visionary funding initiatives. While specific support from the Queensland State Government and the Queensland Independent Schools Block Grant Authority has been instrumental in materialising stormwater elements of the project, the overarching endeavour reflects the collective commitment of the College community.
As the College community eagerly awaits the completion of Stage 2 of our Master Plan, we stand together, resolute in our commitment to embracing change, fostering innovation, and empowering the leaders of tomorrow.
